Write Articles that Rock!

Write Articles that Rock!

An issue comes up in social media or a conversation with a friend and you do a bunch of research and discover the truth as you know it and then what to do with that knowledge. Have you ever wanted to write an article about the subject matter because it stirred emotions in you that you just didn’t know what to do about it? Well, writing an article will help you get your message across to others and potentially gain you, new clients, or a writing gig that pays because the article helped make you stand out in your field.

When you learn how to capture the essential aspects of your soul and passions in writing, everything falls together and can make a difference. Because you see when you become powerful within yourself, you then become powerful in educating or convincing others of the essence to which you were born with.

The following items can help you understand what I’m talking about. Each area starts with a letter in the word ROCK to help you remember each step of writing a powerful and impactful article.

R- Reaching your Ideal Clients/Patrons:

In writing there is a term called magnetic language, therefore when writing an article that Rocks, you must utilize magnetic language to capture the attention of your potential clients/patrons. One aspect of magnetic language is speaking from the heart. When you speak from the heart you can connect with your reader so that they feel as if they know you personally. That connection can offer a clear picture to the individual to which you are trying to reach.

When you speak in plain English, without big expensive words and phrases that are condescending and rude, you help your reader to understand the subject matter more clearly. When you’re writing about your business, you want to speak to your future and their future at the same time.  Their desire is to change their habits and their needs within their business practices, so speak to those needs and desires in your article. Never write from a general perspective, because if you write in general language, you will lose that potential client/patron now and for future prospects.

When you write your article, think about a specific problem that companies within your client’s industry are facing, then construct your article in a way that you are the expert that can help them solve that problem. Give them enough of the actual answer to that problem to whet their appetite to hire you to solve the rest of their problem.

O – Open the Mind of your reader

Any article composed must open the mind of your reader and excite them enough to act and to take the next step of either helping the cause to which you are championing or achieving their desires and goals in life. Action is always needed as the next step to occur.

C – Drive for Change:

When you’ve created a sense of change in your reader it evokes a passion internally to do what is necessary to bring about said change externally.  What does that mean you’re asking, well it means that you’ve stirred in your reader the passion to take the next step in life to bring about change either in a cause or within themselves to take the next step in their life, which could be a huge step in the direction of success. This huge step could mean unleashing the greater potential within themselves.

Any article you write must inspire and motivate your reader. Motivate means to do more or achieve more and inspiration means a call to action to read out to you as the writer to communicate.

K – Knock out the competition:

When your market is flooded with other consultants, writers, or experts, such as yourself, your article must stand out and knock out the competition completely. Your manner of speaking in your article should show that you command the essence of writing and highlight the difference and authenticity of your style that shows off your personality. If you write harshly, you can be pegged to only write east coast/northeast coast area. If you write softly and with a twang, you’ll be pegged to only write from the South/Midwest area. As a writer, you must be able to speak to everyone, from all walks of life across the United States and Europe. Don’t try to duplicate what others are doing, be your own voice and knock your competition to the curb. Hint, make sure you proof your work for grammar, spelling, and tone/sound. Now get to writing.
